The lecture introduces the questions of diagnosis and treatment of benign diseases or the uterine cervix. The aspects of terminology and classifi cation, the special characterisrics of colposcopic image are performed in detail. Indications for surgical treatment are identifi ed. The lecture presents the information about the advantages of PlasmaJet system (argon plasma generator) using of which provides mild decarbonizing effect on the mucous membrane lining of the cervix what promotes short- term epithelialization and maximum clinical effect.

The article presents the analysis of the informativity of malignancy index as a criterion for the preliminary assessment of malignancy of cystic ovarian lesions. The article describes «stepwise» actions and procedures to be performed by physician both on the stage of outpatient care and at in-patient clinic and hospital.

S.V. Khokhlova NEUROENDOCRINE TUMORS OF THE GYNECOLOGIC TRACT 20
Neuroendocrine tumors of the gynecologic tract are rare and pose both signifi cant clinical challenge in the choice of effective treatment and diagnostic challenge for morphologists because of the tumor heterogeneity and lack of standardized guidelines for treatment. At present stage the approach applied to the treatment of this category of patients is analogous to the treatment of neuroendocrine tumors of different localizations.

L.E. Yurkova, V.L. Vinokurov REGISTRY OF PATIENTS WITH DISSEMINATED OVARIAN CANCER RECEIVING OXALIPLATIN — BASED CHEMOTHERAPY (ELOXATIN®) 31
12843 cases of the disease were detected in Russia for the fi rst time in 2009. 80% of the patients with ovarian cancer are diagnosed at advanced stages. Due to the absence of the nationwide clinical approach to the use of Oxaliplatin in the treatment of advanced ovarian cancer there arose the necessity of obtaining analysis of the most commonly used therapy regimens. The current registry has been developed as the basis for the standardized guidelines for treastment.

Primary neuroendocrine carcinoma of the breast is a rare and heterogeneous group of tumors, recognized as category by WHO only in 2003. We conducted a literature research to investigate the incidence, diagnosis, prognosis, hormone receptor status and treatment options for this rare tumor.

RARE PATHOLOGY
M.V. Savostikova, L.V. Mekheda IMMUNOCYTOCHEMICAL RESEARCH IN CYTOLOGICAL DIAGNOSIS OF MELANOMA METASTASES. CLINICAL OBSERVATIONS 47
Among all malignant lesions of the skin melanoma occupies a special place. Although anatomically melanoma accounts for not more than 10% of all malignant lesions of the skin, 80% of deaths from skin cancer cases are associated with this pathology. Because of the variety of clinical manifestations and morphological forms of melanoma, and in some cases minimal amounts of pigment or its complete absence in tumor applying of additional diagnostic options may be needed. In particular, immunocytochemical method of malignant undifferentiated tumors enables to diagnose cancer, melanoma and lymphoma with up to 90.3%, 100% and 87.5% accuracy respectively.

S.B. Malichenko, E.A. Mashenko COMPARISON OF THE EFFECTIVENESS OF DIAGNOSTIC METHODS FOR THE DETECTION OF POSTMENOPAUSAL OSTEOPOROSIS USING THE TRADITIONAL EXAMINATION PROCEDURES AND THE FRAX MATHEMATICAL MODEL IN WOMEN OF DIFFERENT AGES 54
The purpose of the present study is the comparative analysis of the effectiveness of the traditional diagnostic method of postmenopausal osteoporosis and the FRAX model among patients of different age groups whereby it was detected that the 10-year fracture risk assessment mathematical model FRAX is not a method of choice compared to the traditional diagnostic methods of osteoporosis, nevertheless the clinical signifi cance of FRAX increases in patients older than 65 years who have lower BMI and who also have the combination of 2 or more risk factors, considered by the given model.

The article examines the existing major ways of prevention of thromboembolic complications, encountered in surgical practice. Special focus was given to the results of the studies on the application of low-molecular-weight heparins for these purposes as well as of new second generation low-molecular- weight heparins (ultra-low-molecular-weight heparins).
